Introduction to Abstract Painting Tell a Friend about this Course

Work by your instincts or intuitive choices to create strong compositions while achieving color harmony and balance. go deeper into color mixing, methods of paint application and drawing inspiration from works you find outside of class. We’ll be working larger, with a focus on structured creative expression and freedom to explore the medium. We’ll troubleshoot along the way and discuss when a painting is finished. Work towards completing 3 paintings in an upbeat, encouraging atmosphere.

Notes:Student supply list to bring to class: 3 types of small to medium sized brushes, a small palette knife, either palette paper (recommended) or a mixing tray/palette, 2 regular 12x12" pre-stretched canvas, paper towels and/or a rag, an empty jar or container and a spray bottle for water
