Introduction to Abstract Painting Tell a Friend about this Course

Discover the basics of abstract painting using different techniques and tools. Students will learn about stretching canvas, various methods of paint application, color mixing and experimentation with several mediums. Create two paintings on different surfaces to gain perspectives on each. No experience necessary. There is no wrong way to paint abstract - part of the beauty is it can be open to interpretation.

Notes:Student supply list to bring to class: 3 types of small to medium sized brushes, a small palette knife, either palette paper (recommended) or a mixing tray/palette, 2 regular 12x12" pre-stretched canvas, paper towels and/or a rag, an empty jar or container and a spray bottle for water
