Frank Lloyd Wright at 150: MoMA & the Guggenheim Tell a Friend about this Course

Celebrate the 150th anniversary of American architect Frank Lloyd Wright's birth with visits to the Museum of Modern Art and Wright's landmark Guggenheim Museum.

During our private tour, explore MoMA's major exhibition, Frank Lloyd Wright at 150: Unpacking the Archive. Discover approximately 450 works from the 1890s through the 1950s including a number of works that have rarely or never been publicly exhibited. Then enjoy time on your own for lunch and to view MoMA's other special exhibits including Making Space: Women Artists and Postwar Abstraction and Robert Rauschenberg: Among Friends, the first 21st-century retrospective of the artist, including work from six decades of his widely celebrated career. At the Guggenheim, explore the museum on your own, appreciating Wright's unique spiral design recalling a nautilus shell that exemplifies his union of architecture with nature, while viewing permanent and special exhibits including Visionaries: Creating a Modern Guggenheim, featuring the collections of six early museum patrons who brought to light some of the most significant artists of their day, and Guggenheim Collection: Brancusi, showcasing the museum's rich holdings of the work of Constantin Brancusi (1876-1957).
