Kent Bottles, a lecturer at the Thomas Jefferson University College of Population Health, will provide an overview of the history of health care reform in the U.S. Why do some believe health care is a right and others disagree? What does the inability of the GOP controlled congress to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act mean for citizens, providers, and hospitals? What can citizens expect in the next few years with the transition to patient-centered care, digital medicine, and federal budget deficits?
