From 1950 to 1975, Jewish immigrant brothers from Poland, Leonard and Phil Chess, built a record label that would become synonymous with Blues, early Rock & Roll, and the city of Chicago. Learn the history of this record label it's musicians, its hits, and its all-encompassing and unrivaled impact on the world of popular music, the company that unveiled Chuck Berry and Muddy Waters Ahmad Jamal, Bo Diddley and Etta James! Classes will include music and videos.
