Reflections on the Cold War Tell a Friend about this Course

Almost from the Russian Revolution in 1917 to the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991 there hung over the world the ominous specter of total war between the USSR and the West. The many forms this struggle took, how close the Cold War ever came to true ignition into a nuclear Hot War, how Gorbachev masterminded its closing scenes, and how today Putin is apparently determined to revive it, -- all this provides the basis for a course which will be accompanied by film footage from those days. You will be invited to join in our discussions and to share your own memories, your convictions and your personal insights.
