Women's Voices: Women's Lives Tell a Friend about this Course

Focus on the study and appreciation of literature written by women. How do gender, race, and class determine the identities assigned to women, and how do women writers describe, challenge, and subvert these confining roles? We will engage in a lively discussion of a variety of women’s poetry, stories, and drama selected from our text: Women in Literature, edited by Sandra Eagleton.
