Opera: Fallen Idols Tell a Friend about this Course

Lust for love, money and power and their corruptive influence have inspired opera composers for centuries! We will view and discuss several opera characters and their subsequent downfall. Selections will include: Donizetti’s Lucrezia Borgia, Verdi’s Macbeth, Puccini’s Manon Lescaut, Berg’s Lulu and Floyd’s Susannah.
