One of the most beloved 15th century painters, Sandro Botticelli is well known for his large-scale portrayals of mythological subjects. A favorite of the prominent Medici family, he produced a varied body of work including religious paintings, portraits, and secular images, notable for their sinuous line and luminous color. This illustrated lecture will explore his art.
