Introduction to Nordic Walking
Nordic Walking is outdoor fitness walking with specially designed poles. This aerobic sport of brisk, vigorous walking is intended to improve cardiovascular efficiency, control weight and reduce stress. It provides fitness-building stimulation without the stress on the knees and back. Poles are provided for the class. A class is 2 hours or approximately 5 miles. No prior experience needed. All fitness levels are welcome.

|Notes:||Students will meet in Artillery parking lot at 10:00 AM in Valley Forge Park. Take Gulph Road within Valley Forge park that intersects with the East Inner Line drive to reach this parking lot. The best way to reach this parking lot is to go to the Valley Forge visitor center, follow the road all the way to the Arch, turn right before the arch on Gulph road, and then within approximately 1/2 mile turn left on the small East Inner line drive. Make sure to check the map (https://www.byfootagain.com/directions/) ahead of time as the access to this parking lot is not obvious. This location has restrooms. Look for a red car.
