Western Civilization's Greco-Roman Heritage Tell a Friend about this Course

Many concepts such as democracy, republics, the nature of being, substance, logic, geometry, and even atomic theory have their roots in the speculations of the ancient Greek and Roman philosophers. Gain insights into the philosophical foundations of Western culture as based on the thinking of pre-Socratic and ancient Greek and Roman philosophers and further influenced by Judeo-Christian theology in shaping the values, ideas, laws and institutions of Western civilization.
