Politics on the Porch Tell a Friend about this Course

Income inequality in the U.S. has been on the rise since the 1970s. There have been warnings that the high level of economic inequality has become "the most important problem that we are facing" (Robert J. Schiller, Nobel Prize for Economics winner). Explore the history of income inequality and discuss the causes of its rise, ways that inequality affects our economy, our society and our democracy, as well as possible approaches to tackling the situation.
