Lady Liberty and Ellis Island
Did you know Lady Liberty wears an 879 size shoe and has a 35 foot waist? Take a ferry to visit this iconic symbol of freedom in America. A Pedestal tour is included where you will see inside the statue the incredible infrastructure. The pedestal is roughly half the height of the entire monument, offering panoramic views of Ellis Island, New York, New Jersey and the New York Harbor. Visit the Liberty Island Museum that chronicles the difficulties and triumphs two countries overcame to build a symbol of freedom. Lunch is on your own, followed by a ferry ride and time to explore Ellis Island, also known as the ‘Island of Hope and Tears’. It was the largest gateway for millions of immigrants looking for a new beginning and a new life for their families in America.
