Spend the day with Franklin and Eleanor in Hyde Park
Visit Springwood, the home that FDR loved and considered home, and the first Presidential Library & Museum to learn about the only President elected to four terms. A guided tour will tell the story of the Roosevelt presidency beginning in the depths of the Great Depression and continuing through the New Deal and World War II with an emphasis on both Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt’s relationship with the American people. After lunch on your own, we will visit Val-Kill. The only National Historic site dedicated to a First Lady, Val-Kill welcomes visitors in Mrs. Roosevelt’s inimitable style.
