Editing Prose for Publication Tell a Friend about this Course

Learn a variety of revision techniques and apply them to your short story, flash fiction, or the first chapter of your novel or memoir. This course explores developmental editing, copyediting, proofreading, and fact-checking as students polish their prose for publication. We will work with the students’ own material throughout the course. Note: A completed short story, flash fiction, or novel/memoir chapter is required for this course. Students must email their story/chapter to the instructor prior to the first class.
