Lincoln...on the 155th Anniversary of the Delivery of the Gettysburg Address Tell a Friend about this Course

President Abraham Lincoln came from humble beginnings, yet his accomplishments rank him as one of the most revered Americans ever. We will trace his childhood and self-study program to learn the law, as well as his entry into politics and marriage to Mary Todd. We will also explore his evolving view of the slavery question and analyze perhaps the greatest speech in American history, the Gettysburg Address, which was delivered on November 19, 1863. Many historians have called Lincoln a genius. Let’s find out why.
