Adventures in Alsace Tell a Friend about this Course

Travel through the Alsace region of France, reflecting a mix of German and French cultures, guided by Catherine La Farge, Professor Emeritus at Bryn Mawr College. Daily excursions from your home base of Colmar include:

  • Tour and canal cruise in Strasbourg
  • Visits to the Ecomuseum, one of the major open-air folk museums in Europe, and Eguisheim, voted "Favorite French Village" in 2013
  • Drive along the "Route des Cretes" and up into the Vosiges Mountains, often described as the most spectacular drive in northern France
  • Explore the treasures of the Alsatian Wine Route including a tasting and lunch at a traditional family wine estate
  • Visit Riquewihr, classified as one of the most beaurtiful villages of France, whose architecture has remained largely unchanged since the 16th century
