Fifty-five years ago, President Lyndon Johnson declared 'unconditional war' on poverty. Yet today, poverty is more prevalent in the United States than in most of the industrialized world. We can’t agree on how to measure poverty, let alone agree on what success the ‘War on Poverty’ has had. Join us to take a closer look at poverty: how best to measure it, where poverty stands today, what programs have worked and what not, and how we can best move forward.
